Front foot--how open should it be?

Posted by: Hitter (hitguru205@aol.com) on Sat Jun 25 15:43:10 2005

Relative to home plate (90 degrees would be perpendicular to HP and 180 degrees would be parallel, or, pointing to the pitcher), how open should the front foot be as you lay it down just as you begin initiation? Here: http://sportsmed.starwave.com/media/mlb/1999/1102/photo/a_griffey.jpg -- Griffey has his front foot rather closed, while here: http://www.wrightplaque.com/images/baseball/plaques/white_sox/frank_thomas_02.jpg -- Thomas has his foot rather open.

What method is more effective?
