slower pitching i like a longer, heavier bat. I've always thought, what pounds
in a nail harder - a sledgehammer, or a normal 16 -0unce hammer?

Definatly a heavier bat. If you can get the same bat speed with a 40 oz. bat
and a 20oz. bat definatly chose the 40oz. It has more mass and at the same
bat speed it will have double the energy.
