I have coached a number of youngsters that have been/are "all arms" with the swing. One very fundamental idea for proper "power transfer" with legs that has produced results, is try hitting fungo, hitting pop ups. you have to rotate your hips/shoulders in unison in order to rip fly balls.


> My problem is that I tend to swing 'all arms' and lack the hip-turn and leg kick shown in the frame-by-frame. Growing up, I was a football player and never played organized baseball, but I recently got very involved in slow-pitch softball with a bunch of friends who grew up playing hardball.
