> I'm a 16 year old baseball player for my local Rec-League in TN. I'm not as talented as I'd like to be, but when i bat, my biggest problem is getting focused. I see people on my team get up to bat, and like it's nothing get hit-after-hit. I dont know why, but everytime i get up to bat, I'm always nervous. No matter what the pitcher is like. This may not sound like a big problem, but it really messes up my swing, and i'm wondering if anyone has ANY suggestions on what to do to "clear my head". Thanks!

Hey, I have the same problem...what I try to do is either talk with someone while I'm waiting on deck, have someone crack a joke, take a bunch of practice cuts, or just picture that it's a teammate throwing me some BP...And remember, you can always step out of the box and take a deep breath to try and relax...if you feel your heart beat start to go up, take a step back, and DON'T think about your swing...think about what you want to do with the ball instead of HOW you're going to do it. Hope this helps, and good luck!
