Re: Trouble getting focused

i have been playing ball for quite some time and i find that your biggest enemy in the batters box is yourself..i had this problem myself when i was about 14 playing local rec ball. i was having a horrible year hitting and was relieved of my duties hitting lead-off. not only was i discouraged of losing my spot but my coach moved me all the way to the bottom of the order so that i had little to no stess of constantly trying to be on base all the time, so from then on it was kind of like the burden was lifted and i got more relaxed and got back to a regular swing i was comfortable with and it all came back, which was kind of nice i had to earn my way back to the top of the line-up. good luck

> I'm a 16 year old baseball player for my local Rec-League in TN. I'm not as talented as I'd like to be, but when i bat, my biggest problem is getting focused. I see people on my team get up to bat, and like it's nothing get hit-after-hit. I dont know why, but everytime i get up to bat, I'm always nervous. No matter what the pitcher is like. This may not sound like a big problem, but it really messes up my swing, and i'm wondering if anyone has ANY suggestions on what to do to "clear my head". Thanks!
