While golf and hitting do have differences,I think the unloading or launch to contact part of the golf and hitting swings are very similar.The swing radius is much longer in golf.The longer the swing radius,the more the "L" needs to come out of the back elbow before contact.The back forearm needs to be getting on plane as the "L" comes out. In the case of hitting,this is less obvious/pronounced/progressed for the shorter swing radius,especially for an inside location and high. However, as the radius lengthens as with the low outside location,things become very similar.
