Dear Jack,
I am getting quite accustomed to the circular hand path, bottom hand torque, and applying top hand torque throughout the swing. But people who claim that they are pushing the front hip around with the front leg are, in reality, using the front hip to "drag the hips." This may differ from person to person.
I like to rotate the back hip around hard, and allow the front hip to rotate as an INVOLUNTARY RESPONSE. As a result, I am "pushing" the hips around, instead of "pulling them around", and gaining a significant amount of centifrugal force.
