>>this is a long question,you need to see spin so practice watching curves on a machine lots of them even if there is no swinging also look for the way a pitchers hand releases the pitch if you have really good eyesight,curves work up and out of hand fb comes straight and down no hump,you will see wrist facing you on fb,side of hand for curve,.Next learn where a pitch will start to be a strike and ball for a given pitcher.Righty righty,it will come at your shoulder for strike,if it looks like a strike early it will break down.Remember they want to make strikes look like balls and balls look like strikes.You must prepare for a couple pitches each time or just look fb and prepare to hold up when reading spin,therefore you must train to see spin or you will be fooled and swing.
