Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "slight change at initiation" and proof
Jack,
It is very nice of you to provide this forum, but….
no matter what I say or do --- you’re never going to provide proof for your assertion, are you?
But, I will continue, until you quit or answer.

>>>It appears we now agree that the pulling rearward of the top-hand aids in accelerating the bat-head rearward into the swing plane.<<<

Once again, you are answering for me. Putting words in MY mouth.
In your prior post to me you asked:
“Do you accept or reject what is stated at http://www.batspeed.com/research10.html?”
Well,….. no where, I repeat no where at http://www.batspeed.com/research10.html does it state that, “…the pulling rearward of the top-hand aids in accelerating the bat-head rearward into the swing plane.”
-----------------------
Your quote:
>>> If you also agree that the direction of that pull can alter the trajectories of the bat, what is it you need proof of?<<<
----------------------
“If you also agree…?”
Don’t you understand me? I am now not certain that that is what happens (not the torque part, but your description of altering trajectories of the bat with the direction of pull --- the slight change in the direction of pull in the initiation of the swing for inside vs. outside pitches), and that is what I wish for you to provide proof of. You are (and have been in the past) quite confusing on this subject. Of your (numerous) posts regarding the subject matter you are VERY confusing as to which direction produces what result. I am not certain.
I am not certain if you believe there is a conscious effort (while batting) to perform this action. Whether the action is voluntary or involuntary.
I am not certain of HOW you came to your conclusion. I am not certain of WHAT specifically determined your belief, that this occurs. In other words, WHAT SPECIFIC PROOF CAUSED YOU TO BELIEVE THIS?
---------------------
Your quote:
>>> You stated, “I accept what is stated, BUT, not “ONLY.” -- It appears you are saying that in addition to the pendulum (or flailing) effect of the CHP and torque applied at the handle, there are other forces acting on the bat that produces bat speed.<<<
----------------------------
Once again – “It appears you are saying…”
Why are you trying to speak for me? Are you trying to get me to say what you want?
No where, I repeat absolutely no where at http://www.batspeed.com/research10.html
Is there any mention of “…pendulum…” or “…flailing…”
----------------------
Your quote:
>>>. If that is what you are saying, please define them.<<<
(Referring to other forces acting on the bat that produce bat speed.)

I think it is only fair that you take your turn. I have done what you asked. I will answer any questions you have, after.
