Would appreciate any suggestions as to the best wood bat for a freshman hs player. Son has had great success in the past with an aluminum Demarini Vexxum 32/29. Now that the league has switched to wood, things aren't going as well. He has not done well with top heavy bats in the past and I'm not sure if that applies to some wood bats. He has been using his teammate's Demarini DX243 wood bat, and actually most of the team uses it and the hitting has been weak. The only kid who is hitting uses a different bat that he said is top heavy, but I'm not aware of the brand. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
