Lasorda was apparently expressing an opinion based on moral indignation. The four paragraphs you devoted to law and "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt" has nothing to do with the court of public opinion. Government conducted hearings not trials. MacGuire's embarrassing evasions were tantamount to many as an admission of guilt. (If you ever go to the library and read the Sports Illustrated edition I recommended, on p.46, turn also to p.76.)

I have no idea why you attributed a statement about steroids users hitting long balls to me. So I can't take credit for making "sense" as you stated.

You can't "rest" your case until you have one. And that won't be until you can single out a major leaguer who employs your system. Lacking that, you need to have several test subjects to validate your premise. Good luck in finding volunteers!
