Hitting challenge

Posted by: Dumont (doomzday2@hotmail.com) on Fri May 13 02:17:17 2005

The next time you are at practice or in a game. I challenge you to reduce your "effort level" at the plate by being 90 percent relaxed. Keep your good mechanics but experiment and eventually master your level of arousal at the plate. From my experience I hit my biggest shots on when the pitcher has two strikes on me and Im only making a contact swing to stay alive. And for some reason with two strikes I always feel very calm. This wednesday I hit a 330 foot shot with a softball. With a very easy swing. I hope this training tip helps.
