Re: front foot

I have her steping to the ball of her front foot with her foot more open than closed. I believe this helps her with rotation of her hips. She steps in the same place every time. She is hitting rotationally and leading the team in hitting and extra base hits. Should her front foot be closed or slightly open? She does rotate on her front foot and of course her back foot.

Hi Jim:

Keep advising your daughter to open up. As long as your daughter is productive, the worst step that the coach will take is to nag your daughter. However, it is still good advice to keep your intentions secret. Just keep feeding your daughter great advice, and let her perform in this manner, without drawing any attention to your instructions. For the time being, this is the best advice that I can give, information that I read in Steve Ferroli's "Hit Your Potential," and tips that I would like to pass on to you.

Take care,
BHL
