> For a hitter to consistently hit the ball hard swing mechanics make up about 33% of the whole package...maybe you played on different fields then where I grew up...half our fields in our old league were fairly deep and dead into the wind...HR's were not a factor, we had to be damn good and the hit and run and the drag bunt...there’s a reason only a select few elite big league athletes can get away with these mechanics that you would like to claim...they are elite big league athletes...teaching 10 year old 'Johnny little league' that he will be just like Sammy if he buys your video is dangerous...

Hi Jack:

Mickey Mantle obviously did not think that hitting a home run is a mistake. In fact, he admits that he swung for the fences every time up at the plate, except when he bunted for a base hit. That being said, Adair lists him lists him as the only player to ever hit a legitemate 500 foot home run.
