Re: 10 yr olds weak swing

> My 10yr old son is a 2nd yr player in our city league. He is 5 feet tall, 100lbs, and very strong. Last year he really started hitting the ball well around mid-season. He hit quite a few to the fence and even hit the top of the fence a couple of times. My concern is his bat speed. He seems to really labor with his swing, like he is swinging a utility pole. I've tried a lighter bat but the swing is still slow. There are kids on his team that are much smaller that really have good bat speed. I feel that he could even be a better hitter if he could improve this. Any suggestions? Thank-you

I think u should buy him a doughnut and have him swing the bat with it on when he has free time because that really helped my son and he uses a 22 ounc ebat.
