John,
I've read the Science of Hitting and there is little "Science" in it, rather a sound common sense approach to striking the baseball. I enjoyed the book because it pre-dates the minute disection of hitters swings and video (or some cases contradicting video) that accompanies it. The problem is that most coaches do think they understand hitting better then Ted William's because they adopt every style that comes along. If there is one hitting book a coach should read or give to their child or players it's Ted's.
