Re: learning rotational mechanics

The best thing I have used is the "Swing Plane Drill" at the end of the "Swing Analysis" DVD. It shows how to get each hand in a short, tight, powerfull, and fast circular hand path with the whole body rotating around a stationary axis. You simply hit agains a punching bag with each hand holding the bat independent of the other and focus on rotating the body to obtain speed. On the Bottom hand drill you place a tennis ball in your armpit and make sure it does not fall out as you rotate the body and bring the bat around to contact with the punching bag. - Go to E-bay or your classified adds to find a cheap punching bag. Since I have been doing this drill every shot I hit off the tee is either a one hopper off the fence or a bomb over the fence. The tennis ball drill really helps me to maintain my power and forces my hands to be in a circular hand path as my shoulders rotate. I love the power I have gained by doing this drill and I am striking the bag / ball so hard now with this new swing that I never would have learned otherwise.
Buying the Swing Analysis DVD was the best investment I have ever made!!!
