Interesting. I consider Luis Gonzalez to have a very good swing and he uses all the potential power in that swing. The concept when I practiced the pigeon toed back foot seems to allow me to get my heel up faster and in a biomechanical process would then allow faster acceleration of the hips which would lead to more initial energy available to the hitting process.

I am a believer in the kinetic chain and the x factor stretch in hitting and I always ask WHY before I will follow the teachings of others. If they can not answer why then WHY WOULD I DO IT.
