Something that most people don't take into consideration is shape and size of the hitter's hand. Very few people can actually line up door-knocker knuckles and apply optimal leverage at contact. You need long fingers to do so. So I would be sure to include the size of a person's hand, along with finger-palm ratio in any data you gather. There is no one set grip, every batter should have a grip that ideally suits their hands.
