Thanks for your feedback.

It seems that the only time that I make contact on the sweet spot is when I am able to "drop" the bat head on a low pitch (i.e., breaking ball) and thus change the swing plane. The ball is usually elevated when I am able to make this type of swing. I am far-sighted and wear reading glasses; I wonder if my vision is affecting the depth at which I perceive the ball when it approaches the plate.
