Hi Daw

That is “"angels on the head of a pin." For a batter to attain maximum bat speed, torque is applied from initiation to contact. THT just signifies that the top-hand is the most active hand in applying torque during initiation. BHT just signifies the bottom-hand is the most active hand in applying torque later in the swing.

Video clips of rotational hitters clearly show the top-hand is pulled around a more stationary bottom-hand during initiation and the bottom-hand being pulled around a slower moving top-hand coming to contact. I find it hard to understand why breaking up the torque applied into to two segments (THT & BHT) troubles them so much.
