steroids

Because of the recent news again on steroids, it got me wondering do the steroids increase quickness along with strength. Which one helps these batters hit the ball farther? Most believe bat quickness gets you the distance but it seems strength most play a role. If it does then how does this increased force (strength) play a role in the circular swing? With the gruesom side effects of steroids I can't imagine anybody taking the chance but obviously from the news quite a few have because they do seem to increase performance.
