Pardon the interruption. Nobody extends the bat handle in straight linear fashion and succeeds.
The hitter may use right arm and right shoulder thrust to extend the bathead and hands down and outward toward the ball. The effect of this "axe handle" technique would produce similar body and hand rotation as swinging methods ie "rope handle" technique. In fact the causal observer would be hard pressed to see a difference in the swings of Piazza versus Bonds. They are truly different yet appear to be very similar. One is propelled by the right shoulder right arm thrust and the other by throw out action as described in Jacks ball on a string a pulling left arm and a driving right arm. Yet they are both rotational pivots, with CHP.
Two questions come to mind:
Why are we not discussing actual impact alignments?
Why does Jack's method THT which is really a non automatic sweep release increase a batters success???
