what you can & should teach are the mechanics that the pros have in common & which have been proven to work......i would hesitate to teach the unorthodox mechanics although it might not hurt for the individual hitter to experiment with the unorthdox mechanics......but one thing is for sure: just as tiger woods emulated the pros, so should baseball pros serve as good models....afterall, if you don't teach what the pros do, what DO you teach, just whatever the local amateur coach picks up at a baseball camp?...........respectfully, grc.....
