JJA,

Like Jack< I have been able to get about 50-55MPH or so out of a dowel I set up with a know attached. However, I can get 85MPH or so in total bat speed swinging the dowel like you would a bat. Where in your opinion does does the extra 30+ MPH come from?

Nick,

Jack doesn't have search capability here, so I don't remember all of the details of the steering wheel experiment. Can someone point me to that post. I can't remember if the dowel was attached or free and where it was attached to the wheel.

Thanks - JJA
