Re: Re: Re: Cards vs top hand torque

I guess the Red Sox proved once and for all that tht & other rotational principles is the way to win! Did Pujols or Rolen demonstrate rotational principles? Not hardly! Thanks a lot Jack for providing the inspiration to the Red Sox, but I really wish you and your rotational principles would inspire the Cubs next year!

While it is true that the Cardinals failed in executing top hand torque, it should be pointed out that this directly resulted in bat drag. I detected a noticable slow down in thier batspeed, particulary with Pujols and Rolen. You have to look at the big picture. If you fail to execute tht correctly, that's where your swing falls apart. you end up not getting a true chp, your swing goes linear rather than rotational, and you end up with bat drag .This bat drag slows down the bat speed, resulting in less power. Someone suggested that the demise of the Cardinals was due to the pitching of the Red Sox. I would like to remind everyone that no major league baseball game was ever won with a score of zero to zero. To win, you have to score runs, to score runs you have to hit the ball & hit the ball hard. You don't hit the ball hard with bat drag, you hit the ball hard by using sound rotational principles defined so well by Jack.
