RQL,

>>>Ray I don't think bow arch is the same as tht.>>>

Neither do I. Of course I could be wrong, in which case I would like Teacherman to correct me because Teacherman states he can define it.

What I take issue with is that he (Teacherman) says he knows, but won’t share what he knows with us. What do you think could be his motivation for not sharing with us?
Paraphrasing Jack , “…one can only speculate his reasons for keeping a clear definition of “bow-arch” behind closed doors.”

Do you think he just wants us to do our own homework? After all I think he used to be a teacher (by his own admission) and I had plenty of teachers that used that modus operandi. It can be an effective method. Of course, I’ve also had teachers that I suspected of using that method to masque their ignorance or who were afraid to give their definition first, for fear of the student possibly knowing more and exposing the incompetence of the teacher.

So…..

I went to Setpro.com as teacher instructed.

What I found (in the areas I had access without having to pay) was this:
(and a picture is worth a thousand words)

Of couse this is (and I still could be wrong, because I’m only the student here) how bow arch relates to pitching.

So….

In trying to see how bow arch relates to hitting, I found this:

Paul Nyman’s definition of bow arch:

"'Bow arch' is the physical description of the sequence that many body parts go through as the swinger throw."
