Hi Dave,

Someone said (Mike Epstein?) that until a few decades ago, a vast majority of the leading home run hitters weighed 180 lbs. or less. When you consider that a 33" -3 bat has a 6:1 weight advantage over the ball, it is not suprising that mechanics which allow for an efficient transfer of that advantage will yield results for 'smaller' players. Beyond the 'power' numbers, it would be interesting to see what kind of on-base percentages and slugging numbers smaller players ring up.
