Re: Any difference between baseball and softball swings?

>Hi, I just recieved the final arc in the mail yesterday and think it is awesome. I play in 2 modified pitch (no arc) softball leagues and I wanted to know if there is any difference between a swing in a situation like that and a hardball swing. Thanks.

Ryan,

The swing itself (from initiation to contact) is the same in softball as in baseball. The major difference, especially if you had been talking about slow pitch softball but also true in your case, is in the prelaunch. Instead of a more balanced stance, you would want a more loaded stance, i.e., more weight on the back leg pre-stride. Start with that in mind while learning from Jack's video. You'll be surprised what you'll do in time.

Marcus
