Does any actually know what happens in the swing?

Jack,

This has something to do with what you say about the swing, on the hands and bat being projected out toward the plate. Compared to keeping the hands in.

I believed in keeping the hands in during rotation and initiation. But' video shows something different happening with the side/front view (45 degree angle).

It's not the same as keeping the hands in like on an inside pitch.

I can see your point after looking at more video. I have a nice clip of Sosa doing everything you claim.
