>>>Jack, you've done all of this research saying that torgue, rotation etc. lead to home run power.

I'm still wondering if McGwire's power comes from the muscle building drug. Maris was 6-0 195 ibs, hit 61 homers. McGwire is 6-5 250 ibs, broke Maris's record by 9 homers when he was 55 pounds more and 5 inches more. Your thoughts? <<<

But on the other hand, all of the hitters you mentioned, including Maris, use rotational mechanics with top-hand-torque. I seriously doubt if any of them would have hit 30 HR using linear mechanics. --- During my study I could not find "one" player that extended the top hand toward the pitcher as he initiated the swing who hit 30 HR.

But they could only hit pitches from the middle-in with any authority. They just offered at outside pitches. Hitters that apply top-hand-torque can hit pitches on the outside part of the plate almost as far as inside pitches.

Thankx, but what I really wanted to know is if McGwire and Sosa never took Creatine/Andro, would they still hit 60 homers using the same mechanics?
