Bat on shoulder

Posted by: Dano (dano@ott.net) on Fri Jul 30 09:41:00 2004

Fairly new to this site..trying to help my 14yo son.

There was a thread earlier about bat on the shoulder right before the swing and I wanted some elaboration.

George Brett had his bat on the shoulder all the time before his swing. It wasn't on the top near the trapezius muscle but near the deltoid (best analogy I can give for this is the bat would be touching where a baseball shirt would hold a patch or just above it)

Isn't this the position that the bat is going to be at the time of "Prelaunch mechanic position"?

Thanks
