In my opinion, mental cues are the most important component of successful hitting (provided that the rotational mechanics are there).

But cues are also the most difficult part for me. I'm trying to come up with a cue or cues, but nothing "feels" right so far.

I'd love to hear what cues work for other great hitters and teachers.
