good points dave.

In fact,when I look at the large swing pictures in Williams SCIENCE OF HITTING,I "think" I see evidence that there has been a change in the knuckle alignment of the grip over the course of the swing so that just at contact there has been "slippage" so that the second knuckles are more closely lined up than in the earlier portion of the swing.
