It sounds like it to me, but I'm a non-expert as well. I'd like to hear an answer to this question as well.

Is this right? I only do this because if i grip the bat to tight, i will cast my hands out towards the ball resulting in a weak swing. So when i loosely grip the bat, my legs>hips>torso>arms>hands/wrist will be doing the swinging. Is this the way to go?
