Re: HELP!!!!--I need elevation!

I'm a left-handed batter. I play in a wood bat league. In BP I hit deep drives to the outfield (center and right). In the game I play pepper with the right side. I usually hit the ball very hard, but on the ground and right at people--particularly the first baseman. I seem to do this regardless of who the pitcher is and/or where they pitch me--inside, outside, up, down. I do not understand this phenomenon, but it has defied all of my attempts to fix it for roughly four years now (so you can see why I'm frustrated)!! Any ideas?

I would suggest that you make an effort to keep your weight back. A short step backward should accomplish this. (Sammy Sosa) Or you could move forward in the box a few inches. Practicing lead arm extension is also an alternative too produce lift.
