Hi Mark

Rose was rotational in the sense that he kept the lead-elbow at a fixed angle during rotation which produced a CHP. However, he initiated the swing with a static bat (no THT) and with the hands too far from the body. This generated little early bat speed and was in a weaker position to apply BHT just before contact. He produced a very consistent swing plane and good timing with only moderate bat speed.
