Hi Art,

According the Jack, the front arm may be fully extended at contct; nevertheless, the back arm will from a right angle.

On pitches away, the barred lead arm will cast out more, but the back arm will be 15-20 degrees away from full extension.

Therefore, in a good baseball swing it is possible for the lead arm to reach full extension on inside and outside pitches.

The back arm, on the other hand, never reaches full extension, even on pitches away.
