Maybe a little safety equipment. A helmet with a facemask may help. Saw a boy get hit by a pitch square in the nose last week.....broken.

My son now wears his facemask and it helps with his confidence. He overcame a nasty broken nose last year after getting hit in the face with the ball. He has no fear of the pitchers (except for one 11 year old whose been clocked at 75 mph! - but he still stays in the box).
