Hi Tom

I agree, there is pronounced bat drag with little rearward bat-head acceleration early in the swing. This is why the batter must drive with the back-arm well past the optimum power position. This type of mechanics provides limited power to the opposite field. Although they are not productive in baseball, they may work in slow pitch where the batter has time to stride to a position where all pitches can be treated as high inside pull-able balls.

Note: At least he understands that lead-shoulder rotation and arm has a greater role than just going along for the ride.
