My son's T-ball coach is saying that a good substitute for rotational hitting would be the Bow Arch concept.First, it seems to me that six year olds should not be concerned with this stuff.Second, it seems like there is no reasonable substitute for rotational hitting. Why would someone do the knob to the ballstuff, bend the lead elbow and all when all it would do is decrease batspeed? It's different for my other son, he's old enough. But what does this mean, bow arch?I see on this site tht and all, and it all makes sense, but what is bow arch? Is it just something some internet geek made up?Thank you.

It has to do with the lower body whipping the arms, arms whip the wrists and the wrists whipping the bat. I think Jack's debunking of this goofy theory is well-researched.Probably this coach read the article and just wanting to try out new ideas. This is the one idea you don't want to try. It's linear and it's foolish. There is not one major leaguer who has ever said he uses or applies this "bow arch" theory.
