Hi Jack and Brian,

Actually, if you remember correctly, I used to believe in Ferroli's transfer mechanics.

However, after numerous posts that were answered by Jack, I began to find that teaching a CHP is the only way to accelerate bat acceleration.

As you may know, Nyman has made some less than flattering comments about me on his site. I read his research, and looked at Adair's argument again, but still had not made up my mind.

However, I began to discount torque the day a strong gust of wind slammed a door shut. Evidently, I noticed how the hinged door could not "whip around," but could only rotate around its hinges. In this case, the door simply "swings," as one physics article suggests. It might take me a while, but I will try to find it for you.

Furthermore, science has proved that a fastball can knock a bat out a hitters hand--even if it has attained great angular displacement--if it it is not gripped tightly enough, is fallacious. Here is where Ferroli's "firm grip" mentality is at fault.

Yet, if the bat is practically independent of the hands at contact, how can any torque be applied to them? Since this is an impossibility, BHT and THT must be reactive forces.

Now, perhaps I would be wise to amend what I said earlier, and argue that they do exist--as reactions to a specific action.

Unlike Nyman, I do not wish to "stir" up trouble.

I just wish you expand on your CHP concept, which has great geometric significance.

As for the Nyman-BHL feuds, we have apologized, and moved on.

I hope we can all have a productive talk about this.

Sincerely,
BHL

P.S. I am not invalidating your information, which has helped numerous individuals, including me.

Right now, I found evidence that contradicts the existence of torque in the swing.

As a result, let us discuss this in a civilized manner, and allow the most reasonable, persuasive voices to emerge triumphant.

By the way, I saw Piazza break the home run record for a catcher--in person!
