Opposite Field Home Run

Posted by: dougdinger () on Mon Apr 26 07:34:50 2004

I was just watching the Jays/Orioles game the other day and happened to watch Migeul Tejada connect on a high outside 2-seam fastball up at his neck to the opposite field above the 25 ft. fence at Camden for a homer. With all this talk about hittng/pulling the outside pitch , I was kind of hoping Jack would have seen it or taped it and analyzed it. I would like to know how he connected an outside pitch for an oppisite field homer. It should maybe clear up some things about the outside pitch issue. So how did he do it?
