Factually, however, you are correct. Therefore, tonight I will plug in 198 degrees (i.e., 180 degrees + 18 degrees past center field contact), and rework the first of my calculations. I will repost the revision of calculations based on my 34-inch bat tomorrow, and the amended calculations of using a 42-inch bat the next day. <<<

After giving the problem more thought, I must admit that my figures are not true either. The true figures would depend on the speed of the pitch and the bat at contact.
