Pulling the Ball

Posted by: Juice (Mattdogger1@aol.com) on Tue Apr 20 17:56:38 2004

So far this season i have hit the majority of my balls to center field. I know that normally there is no promlem with this, but i would like to be able to pull the ball more so that i can hit more home runs. (There have been a number of long doubles i have hit to center that would go out to left easily) The strange thing is that in bp i am pulling almost everything out. The problem is not the speed of the pitching but i think rather in my approach at the plate. I would be thankful if anyone could offer any tips/ advice concerning how to pull the ball consistently. (hand positioning, less of an inward turn? or simply mind set.)

Simply swinging earlier or quicker is not the issue here, when i am hitting the ball out in front i am topping it and rolling my wrists. Thanks for the help.
