I love this discussion board. I've read many wonderful things for the last few months and now I wish to enter my humble opinion. My advice to anyone is to do this. Hit the ball and go hit some more. When your finished with that go hit some more again. I know some of you will laugh but that is the thing in a nutshell. Most kids can't understand too much teaching on any kind of complex level. Having said that let me also add this. Jack's teachings are right on the money. I never listened to anyone ever tell me how to hit the ball. I just did it over and over again until I was knocking the cover off the ball. When I began to read Jack's sight I realized that what I was doing was very similar to what Jack was teaching. I'm not a big guy (5'8") and 165. So forearm strength and wrist strength is not where I devveloped a powerful swing. It was from turning on that ball and generating all that torqe. Please don't overwealm young kids with too much. Let the love of the game drive them to be better hitters and when they get older, they will be able to let this stuff sink in a bit. By the way, thanks Jack, after studying your teachings, I've since added some distance to my balls and a few more are starting to get over the fence. Great stuff! Theres nothing like the feel of hitting that sweet spot. Theres no game like baseball!!
