Does anyone have tips on how to get an 11 year to not drop hands before swinging. He knows he is doing this and is consciousely trying to correct. It would be great to have a few drills specific to correct.

> Many kids drop their hands/ hitch as they load some weight backwards to the ball of their rear foot. For them it is like starting from a racing position. Many do not even know their hands are dipping. One solution is to start with the weight preloaded 60/40 already back. This seems to help the hands problems in many kids that I have coached.

I agree it's normal and I use the solution that you use, ditto for the other coaches in the league.
