Re: try again/rise ball

HI Bill

You are correct about keeping the hands higher to hit a rise ball. Rotational mechancis still work to hit a rise ball but when you apply THT the bottom hand can not go down and must remain at the same level that it started at. In hitting a riseball the hands hvae a smaller distance to travel from start to finish then hitting a lower pitch so in theory you can get to this pitch quicker. Keeping the top hand higher through the swing plane is the key to hitting this pitch. Also as a side note that if your daughter would focus on the top of the ball (look over the ball) instead of at the ball she may find hitting this pitch much easier.

Hope this helps.

Dave
