Re: START OF SWING

Posted by: Coach C () on Tue Mar 2 14:17:01 2004

I AM WORKING WITH A KID THAT HAS DEVELOPED THIS PROBLEM. AS HE STARTS HIS SWING HE PUSHES HIS BOTTOM HAND UP LOWERING THE BAT ANGLE LESS THAN 45 HIS SWING LOOKS LIKE A SLING SHOT SLINGING OF BAT HEAD WHAT DRILL CAN WE DO TO CORRECT IT.

His hands are too low. The hands should try to work above the shoulder plane. Tell him to keep a strong posture and try keeping the hands above the shoulder plane.

Good Luck,

Coach C
