I would like to hear from anyone re: the long-term side effects of using fat aluminum bats for tourney play. We have a team of 9 yr. olds, and I am wondering if using this type of bat is really beneficial to the kid. I would hate to see a swing get sloppy because of this heavier bat, or have a kid dependent on technology and not mechanics.




train the kid with a wood bat or a metal wood bat{top half wood handle metal}let him use the big barrel in the games because the ball will truly jump off a big barrel. after training with wood using the big barrel should make a helluva difference
